America (Gerry Beckley & Dewey Bunnell) releases their 2nd Capitol Records LP "Alibi" and the results are equally as great as their Capitol Records debut "Silent Letter". Apparently this LP was much bigger worldwide than in their hometown of the U.S., especially with the Beckley written hit single "Survival". Dewey Bunnell's "Catch That Train" is one of his best compositions, invoking glimpses of nature imagery with a beautiful melody. Poco/Eagles vocalist Timothy B. Schmit provides excellent harmonies throughout the CD. "Right Back To Me" and "You Could Have Been The One" really shine with Beckley's great lead vocals. Lots of great songs on a fantastic CD. Buy it!
