Sadly, the most memorable thing about this album, on it's release, was the cover, which featured a thong with pubic hair coming out of it. That was the controversy, but very little was said about the album, which failed to live up to the previous two albums.

The only track to chart was "A Conspiracy", a fun little song that might have fit well on the last album. Most of the rest of the album are unmemorable, possibly drunken rantings. It's like they decided to coast on the success of the first two albums, which were both excellent, and simply record whatever came out, hoping to sell the album on the basis of it's cover. The cover thing may have backfired, as several retailers refused to carry it; eventually an alternate cover was released with the hair airbrushed out, and another that had everything except the thong in black.

This was a far cry from the Southern Harmony And Musical Companion, and began a significant downturn for the band. There just not much here that's all that enjoyable. Even "A Conspiracy" isn't really up to their standards. I can recommend this to cpmpletists only, pretty much everything else they've released is better than this.
