Hands down this is Toro's best album. This is the album that initially led me to be a fan of his work and it also pulled me through some of the darkest times in my life. This album is a masterpiece of tension and release. It also has its own sort of split personality to it. Sometimes it seems dark and brooding and other times it seems lonley and reflective. There are point on this album where Toro intentionally uses layering to create chaos and tension from what started out as clarity. And this is reflective of how people often expiriences emotions. Things go from clear to chaotic and may or may not resolve back to some sort of clarity. This album really captures the way that people feel emotions. And while that may be a stretch, this album really takes on this layer of depth for me personally.

On this album, my favorite tracks are "harm in charge", "so many details", "cola", and "grown up calls". Although I will say that "grown up call is on eof the best songs I have ever hear in my life.
