I first was introduced to BABYMETAL with the song Kingslayer by Bring Me The Horizon, which they are featured on. Before listening, I laughed to myself and thought the idea of J-Pop and metal being one genre (sometimes called kawaii metal or cute metal) was stupid, but I'm hooked! This album is great, and it's very fun and captivating. I recommend it to fans of J-Pop or metal (I'm a metalhead myself, and don't feel particularly fond towards pop music. This is an exception)!
This mashup of metal and j-pop should not work together but I can't stop listening to this. It's crazy but the songs just grab you and before you know it, your hooked. The metal sound reminds me of bands like In Flames or newer Children of Bodom, so if you enjoy that then it's worth a pickup for that alone. For a couple of bucks it's worth checking out.
