The album "Blackout" would open the doors for the Scorpions in U.S. back in the eighties in a huge way. Constant touring and radio airplay made this album a classic. Intense guitar playing, thunderous drums, and a vocalist that gives it all in each song. From the first and album title song, one knows that this is a strong and solid release. Great guitar playing with melodic solos. These are excellent well thought solos. Lots of memorable songs with strong hooks. One of the best heavy metal releases of the 80's and the best from Germany. "Can't Live Without You", "Now", "Dynamite" are non stop high energy rockers. The album closes with a good groove slower song with lots of feeling "When the smoke is going down". Defenitely an album worth having for heavy metal fans.
