This was former Procol Harum guitarists finest album. He went to his old blues rock and roll sound, and nothing like his former band. Bridge Of Sighs was a great album for those who love to hear really good guitar playing. From the opening track Day Of The Eagle and the Title song Bridge of Sighs this was going to be a hard rocking album. This was his most successful and the songs were FM standards during the 70's. He had a bit of Hendrix Envy in a lot of songs like Too Rolling Stoned and a Little bit of Sympathy. James Dewar's vocals are a just so straight forward and rocking all the way even on the more mellow songs, with his deep soul voice on songs like In this Place and About To Begin are magical to say the least. One of My Favorites is Lady Love it is a true rock classic song with some cowbell to boot and fast guitar solos. Do not let this one pass you by ! just listen to the whole album not one bad or mediocre song a top notch trio.
