Nine Inch Nails Broken, is, compared to the debut Pretty Hate Machine, from the word go, is straight in your face. A great guitar album but is something that has to be heard to be believed. An album that when you hear the lyrics from the first song Wish, you know what you're in for but that isn't a bad thing, it's the hardness and desperation of the lyrics that made Nine Inch Nails or Trent Reznor, become noticeable to the world but he always has been one to put his emotions into his songs perfectly. Although Broken is a lot of guitars and noise but that's what reznor does best and this is where the hardness or harshness of his lyrics began. Always worth a listen.
