"Captured Angel" is Dan Fogelberg's excellent 3rd LP, originally released in 1975. According to sources, a lot of these songs were solo recorded tracks/demos presented to the record company. They loved his performances & recordings so much, they wanted him to produce & finish the record himself. With the help of veteran drummer Russ Kunkel, the LP got finished and the results are incredible. "Man In The Mirror"/"Below The Surface" is a fantastic medley of California influenced country/rock, along with the haunting "The Last Nail". "Old Tenneessee" is a classic (also future recorded by a few others) and the beautiful ballad "Comes And Goes" is outstanding. I saw this tour w/ Fools Goold backing him up and it was my first exposure to the remarkable talents of Dan Fogelberg. Buy it!!
