This is the first Eagles LP and what a debut it is!! Recorded with British veteran Glyn Johns, this California based group hits a major home run with this release. Randy Meisner (ex Poco & Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band), Bernie Leadon (ex Flying Burrito Brothers, Grey Frey (ex Longbranch Pennywhistle)and Don Henley (ex Shiloh) have a chemistry that can only be made in heaven. From the opening minute of Glen Frey & Jackson Brownes's "Take It Easy", it's a non-stop pleasure trip of California country rock. "Most Of Us Are Sad" and "Train Leaves Here This Morning" are incredible tracks; full of raw emotion. "Witchy Woman" also seeps great vibes with a minor key based romp. This very well could be the best of all country rock early 1970's releases. Buy it!!
