I think what makes the sing evil so great is that it really captures the feeling that you get when you witness or expirience horrible things. Like the track was so space and lonely at point but then it would explode into a panic only to end up being spare again. And I think that really identifies a key element of good and evil. People become desensitized to evil the more they are surrounded by it. And soon you become numb and you close yourself off so it can't hurt you. And in a way, some would argue that evil and death go hand in hand. You alps mt can't escape evil while you live in this world.

I think this song also captures how empty it can feel to be on your own standing for what's right. When everyone else is against you it can be lonely. And the song wages a battle within itself about whether we can just ignore evil or not. Ignoring evil will only make the evil more prevelant. And trying to fight evil on your own often seems pointless.

So I think this song really paint a real picture of how some people can feel living thier life and not having the power on thier own to make a diffrence.

Aside from deep introspection, the production on thw track is stellar. It has that wall of sound quality that Interpol is well know for. And the beat is sick. The part where it breaks down and then picks back up are amazing and I really feel those along with the words. It reflects the moments when you take a step back and see what's actually going on.

I can tell I will be enjoying this track for a long time to come.
