Beautiful album, it is one of the best in the last ten years! Incredible harmonies (reminiscent of David Crosby's If Only I Could Remember My Name", powerful guitar (reminiscent of Richard Thompson), with extremely complex, woven together arrangements, where all the parts meld together into this beautiful tapestry. The songwriting is consistently excellent, that despite some of the parts being reminiscent of others (as stated above) create a wholly original sound that is all Fleet Foxes, from fully realized beautiful folk rock to somewhat experimental wanderers, that wouldn't sound out of place on Brian Wilson's Smile. Overall amazing album, perfect for listening in the car driving through the woods.

Fleet foxes is very peaceful folk music. The harmonies are beautiful, and the lead singers voice is rich enough to keep it interesting. Their songs are very similar, but that isnt necessarily a bad thing considering the quality of each track. It also helps create continuity and a certain flow to the album overall.

An effortless, timeless mix of melodic harmonies that blend the folk sensibilities of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with ambitious arrangements that evoke panoramic soundscapes brimming with rich details and earthly delights.
