Fool For The City was the big break thru album for these hard rocking touring guys , this album gave them their first top 40 song the 8 minute long boogie rock and roll anthem -Slow Ride-In my high school this was the song everybody was singing and jamming to in your car on you eight track player. The title track was a fast moving hard rocking song with soaring guitar riffs and- Drive Me Home- was another FM favorite. Foghat also did something a bit different on this album an acoustic ballad with synthesizers and a R&B sound to it with the song -Take It Or Leave It. Fool For The City-My Babe-Slow Ride-all kind of merged together as one long song on the first side of the album so that you didn't have time to sit down you just keep on rockin'. This is 70's classic road songs and the best hard rock album they ever did , not one bad song on the disc. This was a very clever set of songs well thought out good writing and singing and playing. I highly recommend this album the finest of classic rock of the 70's
