Free "Live" is the 1971 release by this great blues-based U.K. band. Most of these recordings were recorded live from 1970. Bassist Andy Fraser and vocalist Paul Rodgers co-wrote most of the tunes here, and they are strong. Rodgers' voice is exceptional, as well as the guitar work of the late Paul Kossoff. "Ride On A Pony" surpasses the studio version on "Highway" as well as their cover of Booker T. & THe MG's "The Hunter". This expanded edition includes the studio track "Get Where I Belong" (alternate take). The sound quality in great for it's time....buy this if you want to hear the roots of Bad Company.
