Friendly Fires first venture into music apparently involved instrumental hardcore, thankfully they decided to leave that route and venture into a more personal and unique 'electro pop/disco' the result is a lighter hearted summer pumped tracks that could really get your pool party moving! Unfortunately they will be put into the category of 'indie electro pop' but they really are so much more, they're a forward thinking future influencer that I am sure many upcoming artist will take their influences from. The tracks Paris and Photobooth are genius - some may remember the most successful track of the album entitled 'Jump in the Pool' which only peaked at number 57 in the UK which is in no way a reflection of the quality but more an indication of how it never got heard by enough people to make it big. If this album were to have been released for the first time tomorrow in todays open minded market then it would make it big. Their new album is due to be released soon, my advice would be to snap this one up before you give the second a listen. Friendly Fires have also worked on various remix articles such as a compilation album under the 'BUGGED OUT!' title - look out for that one its a screamer. This ones definitive from me - get it! It won't disappoint, the electricity, enthusiasm and life that flows out of it will leave you raring to see them live.

Similar Artists Include: Delphic, Passion Pit, Ladyhawke, Foals, The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, Mystery Jets, Bombay Bicycle Club
