After months of hints and fake leaks, we finally got the song we have been waiting so long to hear. The first thing everyone noticed was the departure from the normal Daft Punk sound to a more disco and funk sound. While people complain it stole too much from those genres, it still carries the distinct Daft Punk vibe with the Vox-lyrics later in the song. It's a bit over simplistic, but that's where it's beauty comes from. It's not a perfect song, but it's a really good one. "Get Lucky" has a widespread and lasting appeal. The rest of the album has also been released by this point and it fits in with the rest of the album. Buy this song and the album and enjoy the nostalgia, but with something new and different.
I honestly haven't met anyone who doesn't love this single! It has topped the charts for weeks and I can understand why. It is extremely catchy and get lucky is being played in clubs throughout the uk as it is brilliant to dance to aswell. Daft punk has done extremely well with this single and if you are still considering whether to get the song "get lucky" or not then I would definitely say go for it! Something fun and is sure to get you up on your feet dancing along to it! Happy listening!! You won't regret buying this single!
"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk is a great track. Pharrell Williams provides fantastic vocals and all in all it's a great track. When Daft Punk went into the studio for this album they wanted to pay tribute to the music of the late 70's - early 80's. They also avoided the use of samples and actually used live musicians. That really shows on this track which has a really lively, playful feel to it. I definitely recommend this track and I can't wait to listen to their new album, "Random Access Memories". Check them out!
