"Gone To Earth" is the 1977 LP by British prog/rock band Barclay James Harvest. This (their 11th) album was a huge hit in Germany and most music fans can understand why. Singer/Guitarist John Lees and Singer/Bass Guitarist Les Holroyd deliver some of their best compositions. "Hard Hearted Woman" and the European hit single "Hymn" are some of the best in the BJH catalogue. "Poor Man's Moody Blues" is a great song, deadpanning a critical review of the band by a well-known journalist. Keyboardist Wooly Wolstenholme's "Sea Of Tranquility" adds a nice touch to the LP as well. All and all, one of their best! Buy it!!
