this is such a beautiful album. diving deeply into the feelings of lo-fi jazz and Motown soul. this 2018 release by Nick Hakim, "Green Twins" is an excellent display of raw emotion and authentic composition. While many of the tracks start off slow like ballads, they often pick up with catchy drum fills and a purely DIY feel. The stand out hits entitled, Bet She looks Just like you, Needy Bees and cuffed offer a very unique position on song structure, while dipping effortlessly through funk and a timeless feel. supporting live synths, crooning guitar lines and Nick Hakims spectacular vocal delivery, Green Twins seems like a future representation of Marvin Gaye, Prince, and D'Angelo smashed into one lonely New York apartment. This album is absolutely worth the listen. cheers!
