The band Hi-Five was formed in 1990 and consist of Treston Irby, Shannon Gill, Marcus Sanders, Billy Covington and Faruq Evans. Their self titled album "Hi-Five took no. 38 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Singles from this album produced 2 no.1 (R&B) - "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" and "I Can't Wait Another Minute." "I Just Can't Handle" took no.10 and "Just Another Girlfriend" no.41. The album went on to achieve RIAA platinum certification. During this decade, movies such as Menace II Society and Boyz N the Hood were very popular and the “Too Young” track appeared on the Boyz N the Hood soundtrack. I was in my 20s when this album can out and it brings back memories of the good old 90s days. These songs were played at school dances and neighborhoods. "I Can't Wait Another Minute" was and is one of my favorite songs to listen to in the dating game. I can still remember playing this song on dates and making mixtapes for the ladies. Hi-Five is probably one of the best youth group of the 90s. If you haven't listened to it, give it a shot.
