"Home Free" is Dan Fogelberg's superb debut 1972 release. Thanks to his college buddy/manager Arving Azoff, this Illinois based singer/songwriter lands a deal with CBS and goes to Nashville to cut this album. The results are magnificent. Basically backed by the studio session guys in the band Area Code 615, Fogelberg delivers some of his best songs of his career. The ballads "Wysteria", "Be On Your Way", "Hickory Grove", "To The Morning" and "Stars" will give you chills, they are that good. The jubilant "Live In The County" & "Anyway I Love You" are other masterpieces. This is probably the best debut LP of any singer/songwriter of the 1970's. Buy it!!
