This is a great album but it's not for the faint of heart. It is deeply introspective and emotional while also being dark and brooding. But considering that is what it's meant to be, it certainly accomplishes the purpose. What makes low so great is that they are a very patient band in the sense that they are in no hurry to be anything and they make music that just lives in the emotion ms and chooses to feel them instead distract itself from them.

Even though I kind of personify in the music in a way, I think the music feels worthy of being personified. It is very thought provoking and it is both beautiful and horrifying in the same instance. But in no way is that a bad thing. This album is so genuine and it only is what it is and I doesn't try to be more than that. It is so simple yet so profound because you can't avoid looking at it for what it is.

This is an album that will make you feel the need to confront yourself about who you are and why you are that way.
