This album is, as is apparent, extremely short, but it proves that good things do come in small packages. The hit "Jeremy" is a powerful song about suicide that still manages to be a good song. Eddie Vedder (the lead singer of Pearl Jam) did write the song, supposedly partially about an (less extreme) incident he witnessed while in school. Everyone knows "Jeremy", though--it's been used in numerous campaigns and is played all the time
The second song, "Yellow Ledbetter" is a fantastic and less known song. Eddie Vedder slurs the words in this song much less, and the acoustic style is fitting. "Alive" is also phenomenal.
You might look at this album because of the key and popular single "Jeremy", but the rest of the album is just as good.
