If you bought part one of "Love Is Hell", then you must get the sequal. Part two is just as good as the first, and completes the complete vision of his work in a very satisfying way. My only complaint I guess, is that there were a few songs left out from this period of songwriting that would have fit perfectly here. Songs like "Blue", "Funeral Marching", Closer When She Goes", "My Love For You Is Real",and "Ah, Life" would have been excellent additions to this and would have made an amazing, flawless double album. But alas, we have what Ryan gave us, and this is still pretty great. If fans want to add those other songs to their own cdr mix of LIH, then so be it. I have to say, though, that part two is no less great than the the first. There are some amazing songs here. Ryan's falsetto on "My Blue Manhattan" will send chills down your spine every time. The closing track "Hotel Chelsea Nights" is epic in its approach, with its slow building melody and choir of voices that give a feel of grandeur to the track. "Love Is Hell", as a whole, is a classic statement of Ryan's fully realized vision of what this was meant to be. Listening to it never gets old, and that is a sign of a classic, which I don't hesitate to claim "Love Is Hell" to be.
