This is the Japanese release of Meccano Mind that includes 3 bonus tracks that did not appear on the standard version of the album. The bonus tracks are: "Sexograph", "Woman", and "Love Song (I wonder Why). The bonus tracks are all strong & simply make the Japanese release even better. This is one of the best electronica albums that I've ever heard. Three songs were featured on TV shows & movies. "Pride" is by far the best known song from the release . It's impossible to link Syntax with other bands from the electronic genre. Jan Burton's vocals & songwriting are superb. Mike Tournier was with the band Fluke before creating Syntax. Fans of Fluke also tend to gravitate towards Syntax. This is not just mindless trance. It's thoughtful & sophisticated. The only songs that I would regard as club or dance oriented are "Bliss" & "Pray". There must be dozens of remixes of "Pray". There isn't a weak song on the album. It's no surprise that "Pride" has gained the most exposure globally. It's an excellent, catchy song with an irresistible, heart-melting, guitar riff. The lyrics are some of the finest on the album, and Jan Burton's voice is pure soul ~ the sort of voice that you can actually fall in love with! If you appreciate genuinely unique & high-end electronica, then Meccano Mind is a must-hear that will probably wind up in your mp3 library.
