On "Modern Vampires Of The City" Vampire Weekend creates a sound like their old music, but still changes it up it unexpected ways. The first singles "Diane Young" and "Step" are amazing and the follow up single "Ya Hey" was great. The lyrics are as cryptic and fantastic as ever. The use of effects change the feel of the music for the better. The music is simple yet beautiful. It took awhile for me to warm up to the album and while I still think it's below their debut album "Vampire Weekend" it's still an amazing album.
This album is so amazing, Ezra Koenig really knocks it out of the park in this album. You will not be sorry that you purchased this! Hannah Hunt is a really great track.
