"Nantucket Sleighride" is Mountain's 2nd LP that was released in 1971. This recording features Leslie West (guitar/vocals), Felix Papalardi (bass/vocals), Corky Laing (drums/vocals)and newcomber Steve Knight on keyboards. The majority of the writing this time around was done by Pappalardi & his then wife Gail Collins. With that said, the songs here seem more melodic & dynamic. For example, the title track is a masterpiece! "Tired Angels" is another song that finds a great balance of a ballad and powerful rocker. This LP is probably a tad better than "Climbing", only because of it's dynamic character. Highly recommended! Buy it!
