This is a really serene album. If you love indie rock and dream pop this is an album you will love a lot. Wild Nothing really a lot of influence from 80's and 90's alternative and new wave artists but rather than being overcome by their influences, they cleverly and effortlessly absorb them into their own creative vision.

To me this sounds like so many things i have heard but also like i have never heard it before. It has an element of nostalgia to it that a lot of bands try to attain but often fall short. It sound both completely unoriginal and original at the same time. That is no easy task to accomplish to say the least. They are able to give the listeners something familiar but present in a way that they haven't heard it before. this album is soaked in reverb and it feels like you a floating away in it. It really sucks you in and makes you feel like you might be dreaming you life as its happening.

I also love that this album has infectious melodies but they are often used more instruments than they are as a prominent centerpiece of the music. what i mean by that is that this album is like a wall of sound and the vocal are in the wall not on in front of the wall. This is a powerful technique because it enhances the dreamlike quality of the music. Its almost like you are trying to follow the vocals and hoping they don't get lost in the ocean of sound. It actually a really cool listening experience.

As wild as all of that might sound, i think that this honesty a really well written and produced indie dream pop album. This is the kind of music you want to drive to or put on while you hang out with your friends. And while a lot of wild Nothings work has similar qualities, I would say this is their best and most consistent album.
