Meshuggah is a strange band, but I really like them. They started out in the early 1990's as a thrash band, but quickly changed their sound with each album until they went djent. This EP is no exception of that continuing change. This EP shows them experimenting with progressive sound as well as groove metal. You can even hear some melodic death metal sound in here. Whatever you hear, this little EP is pretty good. I really liked the songs Sickening and Gods of Rapture. This EP was even re-issued with the debut album so even the band/lable must have thought it was pretty good.
