If you love the early Stiff Little Fingers you are going to hate this album....at first. I remember getting this album when it came out and wondering what happened to the guitars. I hated it but for some weird reason I kept listening to it. This one is really a grower. It will grow on you if you let it.
Yes it is more poppy but that is because this is not a punk album. This is an album made by musicians who are pushing themselves to come up with something different. Kind of what the Clash did with "London Calling". "Now Then..." really is a good album and you can see the band evolving. I think it is worth a download but be prepared to spend some time with it.
