Who would have thought that Neil young would go on to put out two of the best albums of his career in 2012 alone? A step up from "Americana" (which was also very good) "Psychedelic Pill" sees Neil and crazy horse at their top notch. This is an album for anyone who complains that rock music isn't made like it used to be anymore. Boy, what a surprise they're in for! The twenty seven minute opener, "Drifting Back" is worth the cost if this album alone. The guitar riffs, psychedelic vocals, and the drumming are simply priceless. 'Ramada Inn" and 'Walk Like a Giant' are also similar gems, with lyrics that show Neil is still at the top of his game. "Twisted Road" is a great tribute to classic sixties acts , such as the Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan, and also proves that these guys can still do a great pop song ( Hints of 'Cinnamon Girl' in there). All in all, this album is sure not one to overlook, and I ighly recommend to anyone repeating the same Beatles songs over and over, complaining music is dead. This will surely change your perspective!.
