"Song For Juli" is Jesse Colin Young's masterpiece 1973 release. It is also his highest charting solo record. This remastered recording is done quite well too. Starting off with "Morning Sun", a sunny California intro song that graces optimism & beauty. "A Song For Juli" is Jesse & Suzi Young's finest; an incredible and beautiful song for their daughter. "Evening" is a great upbeat number that highlight's Jesse's fantastic tenor voice. On the standards "Jambalya" and "T-Bone Shuffle", Jesse and the band goes seamlessly into the blues with no problem! Augmented by saxes, Scott Lawrence's piano and a tight rhythm section, this CD is a total winner. A sincerely great record that Warner Brothers should have promoted much better. Highly recommended!
