This album has rather intense, and sad emotions mixed in with it. This album was made 9 years before the death of their drummer: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, I highly recommend for the really heavy metal fans that you listen to "Turn The Other Way", as for the softer people, listen to "Shattered by Broken Dreams" You will NOT be dissatisfied by this album, in fact, just the complete opposite.
Obviously, their first album "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" is what rode Avenged Sevenfold to Waking the Fallen which, in my opinion, brought them to fame, and they did a good job with it too! This is an Avenged Sevenfold originals album, truly their least creative of all of them, but it is a GREAT SOUNDING Album. I personally like "Turn the Other Way", "Thick and Thin", and "Shattered by Broken Dreams".
