Stage Whisperby Charlotte Gainsbourg

Until I heard her cover of Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman" I only knew of Charlotte Gainsbourg as an actress, but her music is pretty good! A lot of her songs were written by Beck and have an electronica-type sound, "Heaven Can Wait" is actually a duet with Beck. I can't say she's the best singer I've ever heard, her voice has a kind of breathy quality that's not always particularly strong, but her music is unique in the 'pop' world and worth listening to IMO. "Jamais" and "In the End" are my favorites and on the portion of the album from live performances. I also really like "Terrible Angels," one of the studio recordings; it has more of a dance feel to it.
