This disc sees Aaron Lewis bring Staind to a much darker and heavier place. After his country solo EP this is a total 360 musically and it kicks ass. CD kicks off with the very heavy "Eyes Wide Open" and this sets the tone for the disc. "Not Again" keeps it heavy with a great solo break "Falling" sees the tempo come down a little bit but still has a angry vocal chorus. Next is the heavy and funny "Wannabe" about music critics who want to be rock stars so they talk shit about the artist through jealousy - great song. The great and heavy songs continue with "Throw It All Away" its about getting everything you want in life and f**king it all up. "Take A Breath" you lead me on the edge of insanity screams Aaron in the chorus about a relationship heading south. "The Bottom" is a much groovier tune about another relationship gone bad. Next is "Now" another heavy tune about choosing a new path in life and taking chances. "Paper Wings" is a angry song about female troubles again. great line in song "if there is no tomorrow burn your paper wings and say goodbye". Disc ends with a great power ballad "Something To Remind You" about dying and leaving behind his songs to remind you of him. Aaron does write some great ballads. The deluxe version has two live songs from Houston, TX from last tour "Spleen & For You" This disc brings Staind back to form and is awesome.
