If Friendly Fires and Two Door Cinema Club were ever to have a love child, it would sound just like Strange Talk. Strange Talk’s pop rave synths are heading for big things, the Australian band’s commitment to pop is closely tied to the rave sounds that are bound to give the club goers a listening ear. The first track of the EP entitled ‘Climbing Walls’ is a real head bobber, and the rest of the EP follows suite well with a few slower tracks thrown in for good measure. If this is a shadow the forthcoming album then we’re in for a treat. The clash of 80’s synth so carefully lifted into the modern pop culture makes for great new listening and the perfect party starter. The boys had a great start having worked closely with the award winning producer Eliot James who helped produce ‘Tourist History’ by Two Door Cinema Club’ and has also worked closely with Bloc Party. This EP features some of his best work yet. Any fans of Klaxons and Friendly fires should take this opportunity to grab a copy!

If you enjoyed this album I would recommend:

‘Surfing the Void’ by Klaxons
‘Intimacy’ by Bloc Party
‘Pala’ or ‘Friendly Fires’ by Friendly Fires
