This is is a great soundtrack for a great movie. It is truly an album for those who love the music which was played at Woodstock. They made some good choices when compiling this album. To start the album off they have Richie Havens signature song "Freedom" which was recorded in 2009. This version is absolutely incredible. It has the same passion and you can really feel the rhythm of his guitar. The album has many more great songs from the unforgettable event. The bands "I Shall Be Released" is truly inspiring. They sound just as good live if not even better. They added Maggie M'Gill by The Doors even though they didn't perform at Woodstock. I am fairly sure they were asked but Jim Morrison did not want to perform in a large outdoor venue and was also paranoid of being shot. Overall this is a great album, I insist you listen to "Freedom" by Richie Haven. I believe it is his best recording.
