This could almost be 'Gnosis' part 2 - a continued masterclass in modern technical melodic metal.

The first thing here is the vocals - better, stronger, clearer, more melodic.

The second is the mix - even clearer, with a SICK guitar and drum sound which will have musicians wondering what they use.

This albums is very much for existing fans of Monuments and could also interest followers of Periphery, Struc/tures, Corelia and Karnivool.

The opening 3 tracks seem to follow a similar theme and could almost be written as a mini ep themselves. HUGE grooves, soaring chorus and with hints of Sevendust, this is a slightly softer offering than was expected - but none the less satisfying.

Horclux has some beautiful guitar layers and belting riffs, played with both precision and feeling - something which evades so many bands of late.

The album progresses on in similar themes, with clean vocals featuring a lot more than with previous albums. It borrows from Peripher in a few places - quite obviously at times - but remains a solid release.
