In an album that showed a new side to the band Thrice, it was the song "Stare at the Sun," that stole the show.

Thrice, famously non for their grunge, garage-band sound found a source of spirituality in this track. The lead singer, Dustin, is of Christian background and has never shied away from his faith, so it's no surprise that he put his search for a higher being on paper.

The song is very uplifting as it describes going through various failures, but not letting them over take you. The famous lines, "I tear into the history Show me what it means to me in this world/Yeah, in this world/'Cause I am due for a miracle/I'm waiting for a sign /I'll stare straight into the sun/And I won't close my eyes/Till I understand or go blind," show him struggling for truth, but not losing faith that he will find the answers he is looking for.

One of the best tracks ever assembled by Thrice, as it shows heart, truth and faith with great, powerful rhythm.
