This is Iron Maiden trying to broaden their sound. It still sounds like Iron Maiden but it is more progressive in the sound. This album is a grower but you need to give it time. The Final Frontier and El Dorado are classics and easy to listen to. The other songs will take a little time to appreciate. The songs and the musicianship are outstanding but it is not easily appreciated on the first listen.

So definitely add this to your collection because it will grow on you.

First time I listen to the album I was disappointed. That was not Iron Maiden I like to hear. The acoustic pattern wasn't that one I expected when listing to the album. But after the thired and fourth time listing, I start loving the way Maiden recorded this album. From my point of view is this one of the most exciting records of Maiden, because it becomes clear that also the band memebers changed - not personal, but they become older :-).
A clear recommendation to buy!
Although this IS a good album, I dont think of it as one of there best. The Final Frontier does have some good songs, like Satelite 15... The Final Frontier, El Dorado, Mother of Mercy, and The Talisman, but it still doesnt stand up to Iron Maiden's last 5 albums (A Matter of Life and Death, Dance of Death, Brave New World, The Virtual XI (which I didnt like), and The X-Factor). I went to the concert for this album, and that was good. Iron Maiden is still worlds most awesome band, but this album is'nt there best. You should still buy it anyway :).
No reviews for this album? Well,I am happy to be the first to review this album. This album is so amazing. I haven't been disappointed YET by this band. They have not made a bad album yet from what I have checked out by them. That shows how great that this band is.I'm really loving the song "Satellite 15...The final frontier" .That is my favorite song on this album. I like almost every song on here though. I also like that all of the songs on this album are long on here.Amazing album. Amazing band. FIVE stars from me! This is my new favorite album from them.
