Perhaps the best experimental Jazz album... Sun Ra has always been one of the most overlooked and innovative Jazz masters, and this masterpiece is an epitome of his hundreds of albums spread throughout uncountable ranges of music. Any fan of any kind of Jazz will be absorbed from the opening 'Bassism' to the very end. We hear eastern influences in some songs, which reminds me of John Coltrane's sixties works. Woodwinds and flutes are also present, as well as great drumming. Unlike most Jazz albums, most of these songs are no longer than six minutes, but that makes it all the more exciting. Get this album if you are a Jazz fan, it is sure to show you the brilliance of Sun Ra.
