If you're looking up a soundtrack album for The Lion King, then you probably already know what the music in that (great) movie sounds like. As such, there is little to say for the quality of the music: if you want the best sound quality, buy it on a record, and otherwise, simply enjoy The Lion King on your ipod. If anything, these songs have such power, that they'll instantly remind you of the movie's key scenes, which goes to show just how dependent Disney films are on their music for their overall atmosphere (which can only be considered a good thing.)
As for the actual content you're getting, you get multiple versions of the most recognizable song, "The Circle of Life", always sung by Elton John, multiple versions of "I Can't Wait To Be King" as well as well as a remix of the credits song. It basically ticks all of the OST boxes you might want, even if it makes you realise that movies in those days were rather thin on actual song variation, but managed to disguise this fact quite well by having so many versions. So, yeah. The Lion King OST is simply fantastic, and worth owning. Really, you should get it.
