Nobody in the hip hop game right now sounds like Death Grips. In fact, nobody in music sounds like Death Grips period. The Money Store is the follow-up to 2011's Ex-Military, and this one shows the kind of progress that fans of that album were hoping for. Production is way amped up, every song has a distinct style and personality from the speedy but introspective "Get Got", to the aggressive and in-your-face nature of "The Fever" to the catchy and quotable "I've Seen Footage". The Money Store is peerless and a modern-day classic for the genre, and if you have any interest in hip hop at all, this is not the album to miss out on. Perfect score, gonna go listen over and over and over again!
