Seems that Filter will always be the underdog band. No matter how good their albums are, people will never give them the credit that Richard Patrick deserves. He's been constantly releasing quality material (some better than others) for years now, and for the most part, it goes unnoticed. The Sun Comes Out Tonight is a very good, solid album with more industrial touches than Filter has had in years. Most of the songs are catchy and memorable, but of course there's a few filler songs, also. But that's no different than 90% of most releases. Amidst this album is a somber, sparse song called "It's My Time" that is EASILY one of Richard's most heartfelt and heart wrenching vocal performances. It's worth the price of admission, alone.
