Having been a fan of both Further Seems Forever and Dashboard Confession, I wasn't sure how I would feel about Chris Carrabba's new project. Twin Forks is a clear departure from Chris Carrabba's earlier work, but is genuinely great. Twin Forks is a great example of well-made music in this new folk movement. If you are a fan of bands like The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men or Mumford and Sons, I highly recommend Twin Forks. The songs are well arranged with, blending complex instrumentation with whistle tracks, clap tracks and other features of the new folk movement. The songs are rhythmically driven, fun and catchy. I got this album about a month ago, and it has been on in my car ever since.
