This is a fantastic live collection from U2's 360 tour, which was the highest grossing tour in history. It's essentially a live greatest hits collection, and it does well to cover the vast history of the band. U2 is that rare band to have survived the years with the same group of band members; being singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. The band was at full energy for this tour, and this disc shows them at their best.

The tracks are taken from different parts of the tour, this is not a single show. This is important to distinguish, as sometimes it's better to get a feel for a band through a continuous performance, including all the banter and song transitions, but that is not the point of this album. This is the band at their best in each performance.

Highlights include "Elevation", with Bono bringing the crowd into the introduction, "The Fly", "City of Blinding Light" and "Where the Streets Have No Name", all of which show the sheer energy the band has during these shows; and songs like "Beautiful Day", "Bad", "All I Want Is You/Love Rescue Me" and "One", where the world's biggest band, in some huge stadiums, are able to evoke emotional responses through their music. The band is flawless in their performances, and the live setting adds an energy that studio tracks can't hope to capture.

Even casual fans of U2 can look through this two-disc set and note songs that aren't included..."Pride (In The Name Of Love)" sticks out for me...but they did a great job of selecting the songs that got the best responses, that had the most energy and the biggest demand. They are flat out a great band, and if you can handle the greatest hits-live format of the album, you have no reason not to love it. Highly recommended for any fan of U2, or rock in general.
