Cardingtonby Lifesigns

Good prog release by Lifesigns. This is their second studio release. Good compositions with nice textures. Unfortunately the sound quality is not strong. It has a clear sound but lacks volume. There seems to be little mastering done to this album. The sound is small with not enough depth and body. Bass levels are also too low in volume. Being a 2017 release it should have a better sound quality. I would give them 4 stars if it weren't for this.Hopefully they will get better management in order to secure a better future recording. They are a very good band. The album opens with song "N", a 10 minute plus conveying all the elements of a prog song in which all musicians shine in their playing. The songs "Impossible" and "Different" are two of the stronger tunes in this release. Very enjoyable and take you through different emotions. It is nice that this release is not as dark and moody as other recent prog releases. It takes several times to listen to the songs to have them sink in and enjoy them even more.

This is a fresh batch of prog songs that should be listened by all who enjoy this genre. Hopefully they will continue release good songs and have a bigger fan base.
