Different than the albums before it, Cheer Up! had more of a rock selection.But this in no way means Reel Big Fish sold out or changed at all (in fact this is definitely one of their best albums). The ska songs are still there as well as the catchy lyrics. The biggest hit this album are Where Have You Been?,which has no horns in it at all and is the most apparent of the rock style of this album. The covers this time around are New York, New York (Frank Sinatra,Boss DJ (Sublime), Kiss Me Deadly ( UK release - Lita Ford) Rock It With I (International Releases - The Melodians) and Give It to Me (Hidden track - J. Geils Band) This album also features a song(s) more akin to Scott Klopfenstein's other band,The Littlest Man Band,at the end of the album titled Drunk Again. If you have the Japanese release it also has Average Man which is similar in style
