The title is self-explanatory: we are in front of a progressive-rock opera.
It is a concept album about the story of Dracula, and in fact the disc may be a great soundtrack to one of the many movies on the subject. Like any opera it starts with a overture, a dip in the 70s, with the tools , technology and the innate ability of Di Ciocco & Co. "Ho mangiato gli uccelli" is a fine example of what it means "sound like it should be" and "Non è un'incubo è realtà" is the most visionary and romantic portion of the opera. The musical greatness of the album is not indifferent, but sometimes it is arranged with excessive pomposity.
