The Black Dahlia Murder have over a short period of time become one of the most talked about bands in music, let alone death metal. After their apparent peak with 2011's "Ritual", The Black Dahlia Murder has totally shocked me with topping that monster of an album. From front to back, "Everblack" is unquestionably the zenith of BDM's signature style of Gothenburg-inspired riffs over a brutal combination of black metal screeches and bellowing death metal growls. "In Hell is Where She Waits For Me" kicks off this masterpiece in traditional form, with the album highlight being the closer "Map of Scars" and no duds in between. If you can handle the intensity, it's possible that this will be the best album you listen to all year.
