'Glee' is one of the biggest shows on FOX and, in my opinion, the best and most original show on TV. Anyone who loves the show will certainly love this album. It's a collection of songs from the first quarter of the first season. From the song that started it all, "Don't Stop Believin'" and other power ballads like "No Air" and "Keep Holding on," to more fun songs like "Bust Your Windows" and "Bust a Move." The vocals on the songs are phenomenal as most of the cast are previous Broadway singers. Also featured on this album are cameos from some of Broadway's most successful shows. Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda from Wicked) is featured in two great songs. There are a few songs that are not on the CD, namely the mash-ups that were quite popular, but overall the CD has a great compilation of songs from the show that are great to sing along with and enjoy anytime.
Glee is a musical comedy television series, center of attention of which is a high school show choir, known as a glee club as well. 'Glee' is Fox's version of Disney's 'High School Music' better acted and with better soundtrack. “Glee: The Music, Volume 1” appears from first nine episodes of the show. It marks a range of melodies and genres: the Broadway numbers, old school hip-hop and even 80s hits. None of the songs is original (all of them face songs of well-liked hits and artists), so, the arrangements of the songs of 'Glee' are funny and nearly as nice as the originals.
