I'm a Belgian, and this little country I live in doesn't have enough people in it to regularly produce great artists. Arsenal, therefore, are basically our national pride in terms of music. Lotuk stands out as their absolute best album. They are simply some of the most creative artists I have ever heard, capable of making albums' worth of songs that have a similar theme but are very different from one another. Just about all of them are fantastic though. Up front, I'll just give you my advice: listen to Estupendo, love it, buy the album. If you want some more in-depth information, read on.
The opening track, Estupendo, may just be the best song Arsenal have yet created (Saudade pt. 2 is also in contention, from their first album, though) and it blows my mind every time I hear it. Then, when you skip ahead to the following tracks, you notice that they sound completely different, ranging from African-sounding tunes to a song influenced by traditional Chinese music.
The other two highlights of the album are "Lotuk" and "Selvagem", both great songs. However, the album's full of quality from start to finish, basically, and if you want to get to know Arsenal, a fastastic band with lots of inspiration, start here. You won't get disappointed. They're simply that good.
